I noticed soup kitchens for the homeless are shutting down ( their now just passing out packed lunches ) through the back door at a lot of places . homeless shelters are taking temps of anyone looking for shelter & if they have symptoms they are turned away from getting a bed . current homeless at the shelters also getting checked & things constantly getting wiped down like furniture , tables ,etc......... I have a friend who is homeless & bounces around a lot from place to place ( state to state ) I've been worried sick about her , I hope she is o.k & safe .

Yeah I started a thread in the political forum about three days ago - I too was concerned how it would affect Dafinch and other homeless people

Social distancing is going to hurt the panhandling market for sure. Last person people will want to be near is a homeless person, so no hand to hand exchanges. I don't usually give to panhandlers, because I know what they spend it on, but I did yesterday I did.
